This guide supports general product selection. Confirm the final choice through a trial on the real load, equipment and application conditions.
The role of shrink packaging
Under suitable heat, shrink film contracts around a product to form a pack. The goal is to group products, support orderly handling and contribute to surface protection where appropriate.
Where PE shrink film is used
PE shrink film is often evaluated for industrial bundling and multipacks. Test width, gauge, seal behaviour and product corners on the actual pack.
Where POF shrink film is used
POF may suit applications where appearance matters and compatible sealing and tunnel equipment are used. Assess clarity, seal quality, corner tears and product heat sensitivity together.
Tunnel settings are not universal
There is no single temperature, conveyor speed or airflow setting for every product. Begin with equipment and film guidance, then observe holes, looseness, weak seals and heat effects on a real product.
Checks before dispatch
Inspect upper and lower seals, sharp corners, gaps and the condition after handling. Shrink film does not replace pallet stability or transit packaging when those are required.

Frequently asked questions
Can PE and POF use the same machine settings?
Do not assume so. Run a controlled test on the actual film and product.
Is shrink film automatically suitable for food contact?
No. Review the relevant compliance documentation for the specific product and use.
How is film width selected?
Select width with product perimeter, pack geometry, sealing allowance and the machine operating range in mind.
