Two different purposes
PE sheeting can help cover broad surfaces. A pallet cover is designed to cover the top and sides of a palletized load in a suitable format. Dimensions and application conditions are key for both.
Dimensions and coverage allowance
Measure pallet width, length, load height and the required side drop together. A short cover can leave areas exposed; excessive material can make securing harder.
Outdoor storage
Wind, standing water, sunlight and sharp surfaces create risks outdoors. Use appropriate securing, drainage and regular inspection.
Limits in transport
A PE cover may provide additional surface protection but does not replace load restraint or transport safety equipment. Inspect sharp corners, loosening and abrasion separately.
Reuse and testing
Reuse expectations should be assessed with operating conditions and load surface. Test dimensions and durability on the actual load before final selection.
