POF shrink film can group cosmetic cartons or bottle-containing units on the outside; it is not cushioning for glass. Design internal separation to prevent bottle contact separately from the retail appearance and multipack layer.
Secure glass inside the carton first
Secure the bottle, cap and pump within the product pack. If multiple items share a shipper, use dividers that prevent direct glass-to-glass contact. Check voids and bottle movement during handling or drop trials.
POF film does not replace an outer carton or inner divider. It can group boxed products but is not impact cushioning. Match carton strength and dimensions, plus any corner or top support, to the product mass and shipping route.
Test POF appearance and seal quality
Select film dimensions and type through a sample trial based on the combined pack perimeter and line sealing method. Printed cartons, glossy surfaces or sharp corners may affect appearance and tear behaviour; compare several layouts under real line conditions.
Check the seal, loose pockets, punctures, excessive shrink and relative carton position. Adjust temperature and line speed within the machine maker’s safe instructions, and record pack integrity after handling as well as appearance.
Separate retail presentation from transit protection
Verify that barcodes on the multipack remain scannable and match the item count beneath the film. Keep lot and fragile-content marks readable on the shipper; trial label adhesion and scanning if labels go over POF.
Arrange shipper cartons to prevent the multipacks from being crushed or displaced. If pallet wrap or a hood is used, keep its load-restraint or weather-cover role distinct from POF grouping. Feed delivery-damage evidence back into the packaging review.

Frequently asked questions
Does POF film protect a glass bottle from breakage?
POF forms a multipack; it does not provide impact protection on its own. Protect glass with separated or supported inner packaging.
How should I test film on perfume cartons?
Use real cartons and the line; check seals, corners, barcode readability and integrity after handling.
