Choosing Low-Temperature POF for Heat-Sensitive Products

Choosing Low-Temperature POF for Heat-Sensitive Products

Packaging heat-sensitive items cannot be planned from tunnel temperature alone. Exposure time, airflow, pack shape and film shrink behaviour must be assessed together.

Match film and product

Films designed to shrink at lower temperatures may suit some applications. The actual operating window depends on the specific data sheet and machine; there is no universal temperature for all POF films.

Controlled trial

Use supplier-recommended starting settings for a small batch. Inspect both package appearance and the product for softening, deformation or damage to printing. Record results as conveyor speed and airflow are adjusted.
